One of the long-time international
partners of alkantara is P.A.R.T.S, the school for contemporary
dance, founded by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker in 1995 and
based in Brussels. In collaboration with the Départs network,
alkantara has in previous years co-produced various performances
and organised international encounters and training projects.
20
students of the fourth year of P.A.R.T.S, coming from 13
different countries, present their graduation work. In
the last two years of the curriculum, the program focuses
on artistic research and the creation of the students’
own choreographies. The pieces presented at alkantara in
two different programs, were created over the past three
months, as solos or in small teams, and accompanied by
experienced artists. A wide diversity of works by a new
generation that enters the stage.
